The Ohio University Alumni Association (OUAA) organizes volunteer alumni groups based on geography or affinity and then arranges them in tiers to maximize volunteer and alumni engagement. Geographic groups are classified as Regional Liaison, Regional Network or Regional Chapter. Affinity groups are categorized as Special Interest Liaison, College/Special Interest Network, or College/Special Interest Society. Ebony Bobcat Network is a College/Special Interest Society under the Ohio University Alumni Association. EBN has established affiliates under the EBN Society umbrella that are governed by a National Board. The Board is made up of representatives from each affiliate group. The purpose of the National Board is to facilitate communication, foster growth of the organization and monitor affiliate activities for consistency of mission and goals.
