In honor of Dr. Roderick J. McDavis, the 21st president of Ohio University and the first African American president, the Ebony Bobcat Network is launching a major fundraising campaign to fund the Urban Scholars Program that was established by Dr. McDavis in 2005. The fund provides students with a four-year renewable tuition scholarship, annual book stipend, summer pre-matriculation activities, academic support, a residential learning community and technology and research training. $300,000 must be raised for the fund to become operational. This effort would serve as a testament to his service to Ohio University and his desire to support students who may not have otherwise had the opportunity to attend college.
You can help! Let’s fulfill his dream and provide a brighter future for deserving students. Your contribution will be matched $.50 on the dollar by the Ohio University Foundation’s matching funds program currently in effect.
